What are domains?

"Domains" within our platform is the definition and product type that we use for everything linked to your domain name such as expiration of your domain, changes in DNS and SSL expiration. Domains are not responsible for website monitoring. For this, use a "monitor".

For example, if you have a domain "example.com", then adding this to our platform will, by default only ever alert you of domain expiration, never downtime of the website itself, for this, you'd want a "monitor".

Linked to domains you can:

• Enable SSL certificate monitoring - get notified prior to expiration
• Enable DNS & nameserver checks - get notified whenever they change
• Enable Blacklist monitoring - get notified if your domain name appears on a spam list
